Michele’s career as a successful multi-instrumentalist session musician, songwriter, composer, producer and remixer spans over 30 years and all kinds of music genres.
During this time Michele has worked on hundreds of recordings by some of the most famous artists in the world. Among others, Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue, Diana Ross, Ray Charles, Luciano Pavarotti, Donna Summer, Christina Aguilera, Moby, Gloria Gaynor, Philip Bailey, Seal, Simply Red, Soul II Soul, Gabrielle, Lemar and many more.
His cheeky take on Brit girl groups resulted in the creation of naughty twosome Daphne & Celeste (Universal), much loved by Radio 1 and the New Music Express for its irreverent style. With Michele at the production helm, the group scored 2 UK Top 10 singles and 1 UK Top 20 album.
In the world of house music, Michele is best known for his work as a producer, remixer and session musician on hundreds of productions by some of the top DJs and dance acts in the world. Among others, Joey Negro (a.k.a. Dave Lee), Seamus Haji, DJ Spen, Mark Knight, Booker T, ATFC, Robert Owens, Bobby & Steve, Diane Charlemagne, S.E.L., Luciana Caporaso, DJ Disciple, Jesse Saunders, Terrence Parker, Danny Rampling, Victor Simonelli, Allister Whitehead, Booty Luv and many more.
Among his many accolades, Michele was one of the main writers on the hugely successful dance-chillout Jakatta album ‘Visions’ (Ministry) which scored 3 UK Top 10s (American Dream, So Lonely, My Vision, featuring Seal) and many other Dave Lee’s projects, including Raven Maze (2 UK Top 10s), Akabu, Doug Willis and Sessomatto. He has also been a regular musician and co-writer on The Sunburst Band albums (Here Comes The Sunburst Band, Moving With The Shakers, Until The End of Time, The Secret Life of Us).
Aside from his Brazilian music influenced moniker Nova Fronteira (several releases originally on Dave Lee’s Z Records), Michele came onto his own in 2014, when he released the soulful house smash ‘Let Me See You (Clap Your Hands)’ on Spen’s Quantize Recordings.
2018 was also a particularly good year. Together with master DJ Spen, Michele has secured the number 1 spot in the Billboard's Dance Club Song Chart, with the remix of Donna Summer's classic "Hot Stuff", which is also featured in the Broadway musical about the legendary artist.
Other hits include various Traxsource #1 remixes, like David Morales "Believe”, Rhemi's superb "Diamond”, Mickey More & Andy Tee “Philly Sensation” and Black Motion’s anthemic ‘Rainbow’.
In 2019 Michele has remixed legendary American singers Melba Moore, Ann Nesby, Byron Stingily, SuSu Bobien, D. Tallman, Kathy Brown, etc. Further highlights include the most recent collaboration with long time friend Andre Espeut (on Groove Culture), Tyrone Lee, Pete Simpson and remixes of Josh Milan and Lifford Shillingford (Beat Rivals).
Outside of house music, Michele has recently worked on hip-hop projects featuring some of the best names in US hip-hop. Among others, Canibus, Chris Rivers and Wrekonize, of ¡Mayday! fame.
Michele’s music has been used on some of the biggest TV shows in the world. Among others, The Big Bang Theory, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Criminal Minds, Survivor CBS TV, The Price Is Right, The Talk, The Young And The Restless, etc. In the field of advertising, Michele has written the music for many commercials, including Toyota (100 Mile Journey), ENEL’s 50th Anniversary advert by SKY Arts (Passages Of Light), Nat West, Evian, Heineken, Gordon’s Gin, P&O, 555, Oral B, Tic Tac & Amigos Tequila (ITV comedy series ‘Plebs’).
