Debussy: La fille aux cheveux de lin (The girl with the flaxen hair) by Michael Veazey published on 2012-07-20T00:08:41Z Debussy: Prelude No. 8 is from the first book of Preludes by Debussy. Debussy was very against artifical and academic approaches to music, and actually put the names of the preludes at the end of each prelude, so that the audiences would be free to listen and form their own images in response to the music. This is a live recording from a concert I gave this week at a private members' club in Covent Garden, London, UK. It's not the dream piano but it worked quite well for this piece and the intimate setting helped the atmosphere.
