Girl I know, there's no snow and you hoped there would be
On our first Christmas Eve
But hey, who cares, sitting here it's looking to me
Like we got all we need
Here in your tiny apartment beside this big tree

Just outside it's a bona fide, Texas-size downpour, wild & windy for sure
That old gas log and my 40-proof egg nog will help keep us warm
Through the thundering storm
So cuddle up closer & tell me what you're wishing for
And you say

"A little white house with a porch and a yard
Where I'll live all my days with the love of my heart
And a couple of kids, one boy and one girl
How does that sound?
That's just about all I want in this whole wide world"

Sounds real nice, might fine
So now it's my turn to make a wish
And tell you about all the things on my own Christmas list
