Genre Microtonal Comment by menokefug @yahya-abdal-aziz: Hi. I used a free microtonal software synth called 'ZynAddSubFX and created a new sound. The percussion is by a free software drum machine called 'Hydrogen'. Both running on a Linux OS. The 'orbit' heard here is one corresponding to a point very close to the edge of the fractal, to create the most complex orbit. 2018-07-16T23:02:02Z Comment by YahyaA Menokefug, Thanks for sharing this. It's very pleasant listening. I'd like to ask some questions, if you have time to answer them. What instruments or timbres did you use? From the outset, it sounds remarkably like "steel drums with a mute pedal"; I wonder whether this impression might be influenced by the septimal tuning and harmonies. Which region of the Mandelbrot set does this piece explore? And have you found very different-sounding regions in it? Are there any regions which "work" better than most to help build a sense of dramatic progression, as opposed to a gentle ride through the countryside? Regards, Yahya 2012-09-24T10:37:06Z
