MELTDOWN X

MELTDOWN X stands for: without exception, self-written, powerful and melodic power rock songs, a fusion of hard rock and some metal in the style of the 80s with modern accents.

Founded 2015 in Munich with musicians who were strongly influenced by the typical hard rock and metal music of the 80s. Even though the age difference between the musicians was relatively large at the time, all musicians were able to agree on a common style of music. It has remained so until today.
Over the past few years, after various line-up changes on the instruments, most recently on the guitar in December 2017, the position as a singer also became vacant in mid-2018. After what felt like endless castings, we were able to inspire Sandra for our music at the end of 2018 and a little later, by chance, her sister Sonja as well. After the familiarization phase with the existing material and a small gig, the pandemic also began to bring our musical work to a standstill. After lockdowns and many unusual rehearsals, at least recording sessions were finally possible later and some new songs were written, which could not be presented live because of the pandemic.
This frustrating phase reached its climax in January 2022 when Sandra and Sonja left the band, among other things because of a musical reorientation.

However, we were lucky in disguise and were able to win back founding member Tanja as lead singer after a 4-year break. A little later "band rookie" Nicole, who had previously been able to gain experience as a solo artist, joined as the second lead singer in order to be able to perform double-female-fronted again.

With Peter and Ralf as the two "old hands" of the rhythm section, who have been making music for more than 30 years, and Chris, who has also had many years of experience as a guitarist and as a sound engineer, we are finally ready again almost seamlessly performing big rock on stage.

MELTDOWN X want to carry the fun of their own music to the listener with the first and self-produced album "MELTDOWN X", which contains their own songs without exception.
