Méa Fisher is an American electronic music dj/vocalist born on April 10 in Kansas City, MO. She established herself in the entertainment scene at a young age as a choreographer via go-go dancing, making her way as a club kid at legendary Chicago nightspots like Crobar, Shelter, and Karma. She eventually rose to fame as a house music dj, who knew how to work a crowd as well as the decks. Hard work, radical sex appeal, and a dynamic stage presence paid off and in 2001 she joined "The Funky Tekno Tribe" Tour as the only female dj, playing alongside greats of the industry, including Donald Glaude, DJ Sneak, and DJ Dan. When the Underground Construction label discovered her powerful singing voice, they sent Méa to the studio with producer Spero Pagos, which launched her in a career of singing and deejaying, combined. Her first song, “Better Day,” was featured in the soundtrack for the film "Intervention" and spawned numerous remixes. Next came her collaboration with legendary house singer, Ron Carroll, where she delivered songs to the Soundmen On Wax label, and was featured as a special guest vocalist on DJ Richard Vission’s CD, “Damn That DJ Made My Day” on Tommyboy Records. Méa eventually met with famed producer and artist, Nynex, aka Josh Achtley, (I Will Never Be The Same) from Los Angeles, where they would record many debut singles for Moonshine Music and Offworld Records. With the addition of live vocals to her dj sets, Dj Mea became an international stage sensation, touring the world as a solo performer. She then moved to Hollywood where she discovered a darker version of herself and created her band MeAndMyMachine, eventually attracting the attention of legendary sexed-up electro-rock/industrial band, Lords of Acid, who invited her to join their upcoming tour as lead singer. Her collaboration with techno innovators, Lords of Acid, both on the 2011 tour and on their latest album, "Deep Chills" was an opportunity to explore new territory in the feminist realms. As a long-time student of legendary vocal coach, Ron Anderson, Mea strives to express her voice through diversity by producing different genres of music and adding her voice to each one differently & uniquely. Preparing for the release of her solo album, Méa continues to produce music from psychill, rock, ambient, electro to dubstep using her own voice as the main attraction. She hopes to be unveiling her latest work in 2016. Mea frequently continues to travel as a DJ as well as perform live shows internationally, while continuously creating singles of her own and jingles for video games, movies and television. Projects include a song in a movie score that lead to a soundtrack single to the major motion picture, “Freelancer’s” starring Robert Deniro, Forest Whitaker & 50 Cent, released 2012. Another production includes 10 original tracks for fighting sequences in the video game, Girl Fight, released this year for X-box Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. Recently she worked on a project where she is the voice behind a teen girl, a fictional character in a CGI animated series which is currently in production on its first season. She also musically produced 6 songs for the soundtrack to the show, including its theme. Working with the shows creator & animator of Sony Imageworks, Rick Thomas, known for his works on films such as, "The Amazing Spiderman," & "A Christmas Carol." Mea is also the movement behind her character as she physically performed the to the music and dialogue in motion capture sequences to a green screen which then transcends into the computer generated images. Mea continues to create and perform, always showcasing the writing and production skills that she has developed into a fine art, in both live performances as well as her dj sets. Currently lending her voice to animated characters for television and film as well as producing jingles for commercials whether it be a song or a character, Mea has a voice that demands to be heard!
