But maybe you've also noticed some of these larger-than-life animals in more ordinary locales. Those people are called furries, and they're part of a subculture best known for dressing up in animal costumes. Yet, that's not all they're known for. In Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where furries hold an annual convention called AnthroCon, these animals are best described as heroes. Mollie Bloudoff-Indelicato reports.
