As Charlie (North Woods) said, I can really see this as the soundtrack to a sci-fi film. 2019-06-11T12:03:03Z Comment by NorthWoods Reached the comms bay. The crew attempted to hack the VTC system but seem to have inadvertently looped a high school biology video. Or is it a warning? 2019-06-08T13:56:01Z Comment by NorthWoods Soundtrack to walking through an abandoned spacecraft wondering where the crew went. 2019-06-08T13:51:10Z Comment by how the night came @matthewh538 the voice isn't "wrong", it just takes things in a different direction. I often find with my Junto tracks that I regret some of my decisions after I upload the track. we have to make it into a good learning experience, I guess!! 2019-06-08T10:20:28Z Comment by mdh @howthenightcame: Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it :) I think perhaps maybe a voice sample is the wrong choice for a track with this kind of atmosphere. But I wanted to pick elements that didn't necessarily go together and challenge myself that way. Listening back I think that perhaps I overused the vocal sample, it reappears way too frequently. But indeed, atmosphere is primarily what I'd been going for. I saw Tim Hecker the night before and have been listening to William Basinski and artists like that recently, which was a big influence I think 2019-06-08T09:27:39Z Comment by how the night came brilliant atmospheres, I could imagine this track (minus the vocal samples) on morricone's soundtrack to "the thing" remake 2019-06-08T00:54:54Z
