Matt Correa is a music producer, DJ and sound engineer with a career spanning approximately 20 years.
Since his first release 10 years ago on Playing Cards Records, he has accumulated more than 40 references in album, singles and remixes, including albums of his own.
Matt spent almost a decade living in Madrid; learning, working and being heavily involved in Madrid’s thriving music scene, where he made significant progress in his career.
During, that period he had the opportunity to work with an array of musical genres and prominent producers of the scene, such as: Abel Ramos, Jose De Mara and DJ Bee,
Matt’s productions have been spun and recommended in DJ charts by likes of Roger Sanchez, Sander Van Dorrn, Judle Jules, Black And Jones and Paul Van Dyk.
Parallel to music production and DJ residences, Matt has diversified into a number of other areas within the industry, working also as a live sound engineer, sound schoolteacher and broadcaster.
In 2011, Matt returned to the Costa Del Sol to dedicate his mind, body and soul to his biggest project to date – his own record label: Guerilla Records.
Residing in Malaga, Guerilla Records has continued to flourish and prosper. Despite this, matt continues to edit for labels such as Adaptation or La Musique Fantastique due to his passion and enthusiasm for what he does.
Matt remains faithful to his radio program: Free Radio Show. A two-hour weekly program where he exhibits industry trends through his unique perspective. In addition to that, he writes for Inzona Magazine in the Electronic music section.
As a DJ his career has always been very fruitful. Since 2011, he has been the resident for the summer season @ Cappuccino Grand Café Marbella, where he can be found spinning Lounge, Chill Out and Deep House sounds.
Currently, Matt has become more focused on the dance floor, using House as a platform from which to develop new sounds that coincide with the latest trends, for example, Nu-Disco, Deep House and Tech House. Yet, Matt always stays true to his roots, never overstepping the commercial line, always maintaining a seriousness and sophistication but always fun and very danceable!
