Matt Scullion Matt Scullion Glencoe NSW Golden Guitar winner Matt Scullion has spent the last 20 years travelling Australia and the globe collecting stories and honing his craft as a Singer/Songwriter. With 20 number one songs to his credit Matt knows his way around a song and is looking forward to releasing his latest track "1868". With songs recorded by the likes of Lee Kernaghan, Travis Collins, Amber Lawrence and Cold Chisel to name but a few- 18 of those going to NO 1, Matt’s finally taken the time out to write a couple for himself. His latest offering Slanguage and 2nd single off his soon to be released album AUSSIE AS is a great follow up to the No 1 single also titled Aussie As which has featured heavily on the Ray Hadley show. Matt says the song is more than just us having a laugh at ourselves- it's a lingo lesson for anybody who can't quiet grasp the Australian lingo. Matt came up with the idea for Slanguage whist on a trip overseas and says living abroad and being away for long periods has really given him a greater perspective of his home. It’s like the Eucalypt smells sweeter, the Kookaburras laugh louder and the Aussie lingo is thicker. You tend to take those simple things for granted until you miss them.
