David Berman's Macaulay Honors College Lecture from April 8, 2013 by The Lumberjack Thief

On April 8, 2013, Silver Jews singer David Berman, who had retired from making music in 2009, was the inaugural guest in a new speaker series on ethics and resistance at Macaulay Honors College at the City University of New York. It was one of a handful of rare public appearances by Berman during the more than 10 years between the end of the Silver Jews and the rise of Purple Mountains.
