The ‘Valkyr’ Extinct Audio BM9 stereo ribbon microphone. A Cappella Singers followed by Choir. X-Y by Martin Mitchell published on 2019-06-11T09:01:57Z This recording demonstrates the advantages of using a single, high-quality pair of coincidentally mounted microphones. In this example the two microphones are encased in one body, the Extinct Audio ‘Valkyr’ BM9x2 Stereo Ribbon Microphone. The mic was set on a tall stand positioned dead centre, (angled slightly down towards the back of the choir), a couple of metres behind the conductor. No EQ or processing has been used.
