The Isle Of Wight
Mark has been into house music since the old Detroit, Chicago, and Acid house scene of the late 80's, he has been involved in and ran events for the past few years in the north east of England and on The Isle of Wight, one being Retrofest at which he acquired the services of such djs as Alister Whitehead, Jon Mancini (Streetrave Scotland) and some of the best djs that have ever graced a north east turntable. Now running Wight Night Events on The Isle of Wight, which has seen him secure bookings and play along side such legends as Paul Bleasdale, Brandon Block, K Klass, Slipmatt and soon Seb Fontaine, he has had his own radio show for local radio station wightpartyradio, and regularly plays for an Isle Of Wight house event TTNT Mix Sessions. His sets generally consist of anything from Soulful, Tech, Deep, and Progressive house, He has now started producing and has been signed the German label SDL Recordings and Wight Label Records, he is very excited about what the future may hold.
For Mark its all about the music you play, he feels there's mountains of brilliantly mixed rubbish out there, but he likes to think he has a good taste in house music. You can also catch him on soundcloud.com/markweber2, Mixcloud, Twitter @djmarkweber and Facebook.
Mark's influences are people like Greg Wilson, Dj Chus, Prok & Fitch, Frankie Knuckles, Joey Negro, Dimitri from Paris, Kerri Chandler, Todd Terry, A Guy Called Gerald, Ralf Gum, Sasha, John Digweed, Graeme Park, Jon Mancini, Paul Bleasdale, Seb Fontaine, Paul Woolford, Maceo Plex, Sasha, and Allister Whitehead to name a few, I hope one day to be a fraction of the talent that they are.
