Gonna Get Her Freak On (disquiet0240) “Compose a piece of music in which a drone slowly, imperceptibly, gives way to something rhythmic and/or melodic” The drone was composed using Samplr and I did a bit of live manipulation as the original recording progressed. This piece was recorded off and put into my DAW where I added bass and random out-of-sync rhythms at 68 bpm. Eventually you hear the voice of a friend of mine, pitched way down, doing a goofy song left on my voicemail late at night. The voice and rhythms fade out and the drone appears prominently again before fading out entirely at 2:21.
