Mark Spalding Mark Spalding Arbroath Mark Spalding is a musician and visual arts worker resident in rural Angus near Arbroath,Scotland,U.K. As a performer his principal instruments are organ and piano: his repertoire extends from the middle ages to the present day. In recent years he has taken a particular interest in the work of the Arbroath-born composerMorris Pert:(www.morrispert.com) having invited several other composers to write pieces in his memory. The harpsichord items were recorded on the fine instrument in the Wighton Heritage Centre in the Wellgate Library,Dundee, Scotland on my occasional visits to help tune, maintain,play and generally stave off neglect and deterioration. In 2015, he performed Stockhausen's Tierkreis(signs of the zodiac)throughout the year in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of its composition. He also founded the Intuitive Music ensemble Mars in Aquarius. in 2016 he was appointed organist at Barry Parish church (Church of Scotland), Carnoustie.
