NothingMoreDangerousThanAnHonestMan...2016 by margareta ferek-petric published on 2017-02-19T16:35:54Z NothingMoreDangerousThanAnHonestMan (DrinkingOrangeJuiceWhileWatchingSextapesOffline WithoutAKalašnjikovInHisHands) - for Soprano Sax, Tenor Sax & Piano (Gordan Tudor, Goran Jurcevic, Ivan Batos) The title of this piece expresses the cynicism in society, politics and life in general and it could also be much longer. It brings the meaning of habits, political correctness and personal responsibility in question and describes the absurdity of the world we´re living in. In the core of the score there is always a dose of ludicrousness present which constantly changes faces and reflects them through different musical gestures. The expected beauty of sound of the three instruments is undergoing a constant deflection and is being repeatedly interrupted with latent and exposed rhythmical impulses. The acoustic patterns are constructed as a short movie that tells a story of thoughts: they scrutinize the imaginary sense of security and power and transfer their state between active and passive. The composition is dedicated to the congenial Trio GIG, it represents the three instruments as a strong unity, but also chooses to show the individual subtlety of each of the players. Genre Classical
