Berlin and previously London based but born in Treviso, near Venice (Italy), Marco has been involved in the local underground club scene since he was 15, as a promoter and then as a DJ.
After travelling to London to gain his MA in Fashion design at St Martin’s, he became involved in London’s clubbing scene as a DJ. juggling between his designer career and his music.
Owing to his more visual background, he considers his musical style to be constructed with an aesthetic approach. He has been deeply inspired, besides the classic influences like Detroit Techno and electro, acid house, and electro by more abstract sounds, ranging from Spiritual jazz, noise, industrial, musique concrete, american minimalism, contemporary classic, and more.
His productions are usually very deep, abstract, atmospheric and often His cinematic techno sounds are unusually organic: they build pressure in subtle ways and his meticulous grooves never fail to take listeners on a trip to somewhere new and exciting
After a couple of eps that gain him some recognition
he released in January 2011, his true first breakthrough EP, ‘The Vox Attitude’ released on the Swedish label Vidd, and received enthusiastic reactions and widespread chart positions becoming an evergreen classic still being plaid extensively these days.
2012 saw the launch of his own label EERIE records with the first release by himself the "Modula" ep out in june 2012 followed by 3 more releases among which was the "There's no point...That's the point" ep also a reissue of the anthemic track "The Vox Attitude" with excellent remixes from Joey Anderson and Pangaea and his latest 12" "Simmetria Delle Stringhe".
After these first 4 ep's by himself the label also started to welcome other projects always trying to pick , relatively little known but extremely talented artists with a strong edge and a diverse sound like Michal Wolksi, Healing Force Project, Domenico Crisci,a project with fellow Italian legend Donato Dozzy called Anxur and the newcomer, Serena Butler in 2016 as latest addition.
Again on his own imprint Eerie records he released at the end of 2014 his first LP Visione, which was very well received and prominently showed his more experimental side gaining him recognition also outside the techno circuit.
Marco Shuttle also built an as strong reputation as a dj during the years, known for his very eclectic and experimental approach and his mesmerizing and narrative flow, he performs worldwide in the most important underground clubs and Festivals, like Berghain, Fabric, The Bunker New York, Concrete, Bassiani and the infamous Labyrinth festival in Japan, to name a few.
some of his dj sets and his podcasts became very popular and established him as a very fine (mostly vinyl) selector.
Marco Shuttle also has an as relevant and rich output on other labels besides his own. Dontuwant on the legendary Clone records has recently been repressed for the 3rd time, "Sing Like A Bird" on Peter Van Hoesen's Time To Express label, follwed by a follow up reprise version on Eerie , is considered a timeless classic. Another 2 tracker, Fanfara ep, on The Bunker New York saw the light in 2014 and his most recent ep, Flauto Synthetico on Dozzy and Neel's imprint Spazio Disponibile (2016) can again be easily been considered another landmark of his discography.
