Marc Jordan began his professional career in Los Angeles where he was signed to Warner Bros. Records working with famed Steely Dan producer Gary Katz. Jordan spent the next 15 years in LA recording and producing records for Warners, BMG and Atlantic Records. During this time, Jordan was signed to Warner Chappell Pub. and Geffen Music and has written songs for and with Diana Ross, Manhattan Transfer, Bette Midler, Chicago, Kenny Loggins, Joe Cocker, Amanda Marshall, Cher, Shawn Colvin, Natalie Cole, The Canadian Tenors, Sophie Milman, Olivia Newton-John, Bonnie Raitt, Josh Groban and four songs for Rod Stewart including the #1 hit World-wide Rhythm Of My Heart.
Jordan’s film music credits include Sluggers Wife (Rob Lowe), Like Father Like Son (Dudley Moore), Never Talk To Strangers, Heavy Metal, Blown Away (Jeff Bridges), Touched By An Angel and many others. Marc has made 13 CD’s of his own songs and has won ASCAP, Juno, SOCAN and Jazz and Pop awards. His songs appear on no less than 35 million records. In 2010, Jordan starred opposite Olivia Newton-John in the movie musical “Score” which opened the Toronto Film Festival. Also in 2010 Jordan recorded and released a new CD for EMI Canada titled “Crucifix In Dreamland” with Canadian Producer/Songwriter Chris Bilton. Crucifix In Dreamland was cut live at Sound Emporium in Nashville, TN and includes special guests Timothy B. Schmit (Eagles), Dala, Alison Krauss, Johnny Reid, Ron Sexsmith and Hawksley Workman among others. Marc spends his time touring for himself and as a member of Lunch At Allen’s (Marc Jordan, Murray McLauchlan, Ian Thomas, Cindy Church) and working on his Musical with wife Amy Sky and broadway’s Memphis producers Junk Yard Dog due for the stage in 2014. Marc has teamed up again with writer/producer Chris Bilton and is currently writing his 14th album, slated for release early in 2013.
