Paul Goodyear - Heavenly Angels (Manuel Carranco Remix) (Promo edit)
This release will be available exclusively on Beatport November 22 and through all other major music sites December 6 - 2011
On the heels of his broadly successful remake of the dance floor classic Outlaw, DJ/producer Paul Goodyear (<a href="http://www.paulgoodyear.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.paulgoodyear.com</a>) has emerged from the studio with Heavenly Angels, the first original production from his new dance label Goodyear Muzik (<a href="http://www.goodyearmuzik.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.goodyearmuzik.com</a>).
A master of the journey, Paul enjoys applying his diverse and unique style to marathon sets and credits his lasting success to an ability to constantly evolve with the times while not forgetting his roots. With an impressive 26 years of DJing under his belt, he has also established himself in the studio with hits such as the 2003 Billboard No. 1 dance mix of Kristine W’s version of “The Boss”, the recent production of "Catch a Fire" by John LePage feat. Debby Holiday, “Free” by Ultra Naté, the Oxford Hustlers “Love You More” feat. Katherine Ellis, and of course Paul’s own “Outlaw” featuring Caroline Lund. Other legendary artists who have benefitted from Paul’s studio skills include Taylor Dayne, Whitney Houston, Linda Clifford, Boogie Pimps, Toni Braxton, Deborah Cooper, Karen Young and Full Intention.
One of the greatest joys in Paul’s musical career has been playing to big rooms - an inspiration for Heavenly Angels. “I have always had a love for lush synths, driving bass lines and great build ups and break downs” says Paul. “I envision the Heavenly Angels Ethereal Mix as a peak time anthem, while the Anaconda Mix is aimed at audiences dancing later into the night.”
On top of a huge array of club residencies over the years, Paul’s big room pedigree includes three years at San Francisco Magnitude, many primetime Gay Pride events, numerous Sydney G&L Mardi Gras parties including the pinnacle set of the 30th Anniversary party in 2008. With such a deep history in the club scene, he prides himself on a passion for dance classics, another important factor in the creation of Heavenly Angels. “To be honest I am so tired of the mediocre pop songs being played in clubs right now. This reason alone makes want to produce great big room dance records!”
In addition to Paul’s four vocal and instrumental tracks, the Heavenly Angels release is joined by a gifted DJ/Producer whose passionate sound is lauded across the dance world. Spain’s Manuel Carranco (<a href="http://www.facebook.com/manuelcarrancodj" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.facebook.com/manuelcarrancodj</a>) has been wowing fans around the world with his progressive beats for over two decades, including long residencies in London and now back in his hometown of Madrid. He currently combines inspired music production with a regular residence in his own club and events in Madrid (Odarko / Into The Tank / Sleazy Madrid).
"Brilliant! I can’t wait to play this at Mass New Year’s Day." - DJ Phil B - San Francisco
"I’m loving the vibe on Paul’s track and the way it flows - can’t wait to drop it this at my regular sets. Full support!!" - DJ / Producer Alex Acosta - Mexico
"Classy Progressive Trance tune here hitting all the right spots. A killer synth melody, beautiful washes, percussion brought to the forefront in the drop and a beautiful beckoning vocal moves this ethereal, yet powerful tune along. The remix takes things a little tougher and deeper, moments of lushness combined with a pounding groove, a perfect juxtaposition of light and dark. The climax in the remix comes across perfectly." - DJ/Producer Jerry Bonham - Bedrock, SAW & Vapour Records - Denver
“A great progressive track from Goodyear - another classy production. Love the riff!” - DJ/Producer Wayne G - London
