It’s been a while since I have put together a dj mix and it has been a due process… I started working on this project in early 2020 and many life events steered me away from it. See I appreciate and produce a wide range of music but electronic music has always had a special place in my life in it’s ability to be a seamless journey of soundscapes. While many producers and Dj’s bang out hits as fast as possible and throw mixes together never leaving a single tempo or key, I have always been deeper, more of a record digger taking as much time as needed to find just the right song to bridge the worlds that each creates, hence the name “Intercessor Mix”… Overall I just prefer going on journeys and story telling.

I started djing in 2001 spinning vinyl records, with no prior music knowledge it took me 4 years to master how to beat & key match good enough to play in front of a crowd, something the computer now does for the kiddos with the push of a button, I share this not to gloat but as a reminder that there is a group of us out there holding on to something, who remember not just the fundamentals of this art form but the “why”. In the beginning as a dj you would beat match using one ear and a monitor, ironically as I began to study psychoacoustics what I learned is dj’s had been binaurally stimulating themselves and in the early days there are many stories of mass experiences and I believe this is due to the fact of the state of consciousness of the dj, Thus a role is apparent here as a musician and I feel that in the earthly realm they are known as shaman or medicine people, in christianity they are known as Intercessors, in other cultures “mediums”. Guides that operate both in the earthly and ethereal realms, this is how I see our role and responsibility as musicians. Just as your body requires nourishment so does our soul, music is a carrier wave of consciousness that acts as a potential path way, guiding us home, back to source… For each this is a unique experience… something that has been forgotten here by many these days. So may this journey guide you to something that expands your mind, touches your heart and brings you closer to home.
