Malcolm X is a brand new hip-hop rap artist from the streets of East Flatbush Brooklyn, New York. His upbringing in a West Indian Trinidadian household has helped to mold his fast and impactful delivery on the mic. Although he is currently pursuing his rap career full throttle, dance was his first passion.
Since the tender age of 8 years old, Malcolm X joined the "Creative Outlet Dance Theater" of Brooklyn pursuing modern, hip hop, and reggae dance. He has since been blessed with the opportunity to perform at the Radio City Music Hall for the King of pop, Michael Jackson! He has also been graced with the opportunity to perform in the "G slide" music video alongside female MC Lil Mama and as a background dancer for greats such as Jennifer Holiday of the original "Dream Girls".
While Malcolm X succeeded tremendously in the fields of dance, he grew a desire for rapping in his early teens. During his early high school years, he began his musical journey by joining a rap group entitled "Payback". It wasn't long before he left "Payback" to be lead in an alternate local rap group entitled "Up the Block" entertainment. After unforeseen disputes with management he left "Up the Block" to again join another local rap group entitled "Street Exchange". "Street Exchange" would not be his final attempt to joining a musical rap group. However, Malcolm X's final attempt to creating a union of lyricist' would be one that he had full control of.
He currently holds the LLC of the rap union currently known as the "Regime Lyfe". The "Regime Lyfe" which is an ancronym for (R)eal (E)lite (G)entlemen (I)nspire (M)ovements (E)verywhere is an accumulation of acquaintances from Malcolm X's past rap groups. He managed to assemble the "Regime Lyfe" with long time affiliates, Jared from "Payback", Cam from "Up da Block" and Kirby from "Street Exchange". This union of gentlemen promises to not only annihilate the rap game with raw catchy raps but to also conquer in the fields of acting, dancing, producing, and directing !
With musical inspirations such as the Notorious B.I.G, Rick Ross, Jay Z, and Nas Malcolm X says "I want to show people that whether Im fat, tall, or small I can do anything... I can dance, rap , or act because I aim to be the best at anything I do regardless of the cards I am dealt"!
