M2P Howard Melbourne Guelph Hilda "Paige" and Howard Melbourne form Mel and Paige Productions, aka “M2P”. Their early tours included Atlantic City’s "Resorts International Hotel and Casino" with a seven-piece band and a repertoire that included jazz, R&B, pop, reggae and calypso. Following this electric experience M2P went on to tour the Bahamas and the United States. Subsequent travels have also given M2P the pleasure of singing to Eastern Canadian audiences from Toronto to Newfoundland. In 1982 M2P performed in a Las Vegas Review Variety Show, at one of Ontario’s largest summer resorts, the Deerhurst Inn & Country Club in Huntsville. Here they worked with 30 other performers and were two of the seven singers in the Review. Following this they landed a recording contract in the United States with IMG INTERNATIONAL. In 1994 EMI Canada released M2P’s first hit single ‘Before the Next Teardrop Falls’ on their compilation called “CLASSICAL SONGS TO A REGGAE GROOVE” that went gold. M2P second release “Do You Love Me” made it to the top 30 dance chart for all of ‘96 and ‘97. Their third release “Just the Way You like It” climbed to the #15 song on the dance stations. M2P’s track “Do You Love Me” makes up the sound track for Rodney Dangerfield’s movie “My Five Wives”. M2P has performed on shows such as Hot Summer Rush Fest at Canada’s Wonderland with Hits-103.5 on many occasions, on Much Music’s Electric Circus, the Open Mike Show on the Comedy Network and CTV, The Camilla Scot Show on CTV, the 2000 Juno Awards show and many of Toronto’s top night spots. M2P is signed with GMS Records and is in the process of releasing their new dance album, leading with the single “In the Middle of Main Street”. They hold 2nd and 3rd degree black belts in karate.
