KAZYANIGHT

Born in Hokkaido Northern Japan, KAZYANIGHT was inspired by New York’s famous DJ Danny Krivit’s
performance during the Japan tour in 2003, and began performing the following year. At the time the music
scene had a strong rock influence, but he soon developed his own unique and distinctive style based on the 90’s
culture and sound.
During his activity in Hokkaido, his bold and cocky style, very much his own, remained unchanged.
KAZYANIGHT’s performances originated from his creative way of thinking, gained popularity and made him the
envy of the DJ scene.

In 2009, the experience of performing at “SAPPORO CITY JAZZ CROSS GENERARION FESTIVAL”, one of the
biggest jazz festivals in Hokkaido, saw a vast increase to his exposure, and in the year after his performance,
KAZYANIGHT moved down to Tokyo. Since then, his performances have rapidly gained recognition from the
Tokyo music scene.
He loves illegal mash up style and crazy remixed music, and also creates music under the name “MASCULiZM
DARLiN'” (http://soundcloud.com/m-darlin).

Before long, he was invited to be the resident DJ for “BEAT COMMUNIST@JzBrat“ by the renowned composer
Takeshi Nakatsuka, and began performing at the events, held mainly at Shibuya JzBrat.
He performs regularly at some of the biggest clubs in Tokyo, including WOMB and Hachi-oji SHeLTeR, and
occasionally performs at a number of other events throughout Japan. He also offers his music to radio stations
such as FM NORTHWAVE (GROOVE9) for airplay.
KAZYANIGHT’s unique performances has gained him a large fan base and seen him rise to the top of the club
music scene
