Palimpsest is a piece of writing material on which the original writing has been effaced to make room for later writing but of which traces remain. Music is a palimpsest of musicians being influenced and remixed by the previous generation. It's a constant evolutionary arms to delight the mind and heart, and to engage the soul to dance.
