Lukas Dreyer Lukas Dreyer Leipzig Lukas Dreyer is the leader of Freiraum Syndikat. He is a musician with heart and soul. From 1999 to 2013 he was the principal cellist of the “Philharmonic Orchestra Altenburg-Gera”. He is a versatile artist and found enough time and capacity to give concerts as a soloist as well as working as a passionate teacher at the "Musikhochschule Weimar". Since Summer 2013 he is concentrating more on teaching and a variety of musical activities as cellist and leader. Lukas Dreyer founded the internationally renowned cello quartet Quattrocelli. In addition, he is the founder and musical director of the “12 Thueringer Cellisten”, the "WGT Musik Kammer", and since 2014 impresario of the “Eichsfelder Domfestpiele”. He finds inspiration in encounters with outstanding personalities like Chick Corea, the Alban Berg quartet, the Bartok quartet or composers like Lalo Schifrin.
