I took inspiration from the picture by Michel Banabila that has been chosen for the project. The drone has been generated from a Moog Mother32. I've recorded a 60 seconds sound two times: the first time it was pretty clean, the second time, I've added white noise and some resonance. I've looped and treated them separately, the first one with a reverb (track A), the second one with a gate (track B). I've than recorded two 3 + 3 eights synth pattern to be placed on 4/4 bars: the second one is one octave below the first one. Both are very low cutoff and smooth attack and treated with reverbs (track C and D). I’ve than treated with a big reverb track C, to have a smooth harmonic change to color the drone (track E). I’ve recorded another synth pattern, this time a 4 eights sequence using a brighter timber (track F). Last track is a treated bass note (it’s actually a Gb) that will be our track G. The Mix is a slow fade in of all tracks expert for the track G that comes to prepare the entrance of the synth patterns. The mood goes from the very dark beginning to a brighter and 80s romantic allure in the end. The movement represents an imaginary train that comes out from the fog I see in the picture.
