Love at Death Beach Sheffield Love at Death Beach came into being in December 2009 and have been dreaming up ways to restart their bile-clogged hearts ever since. Comprised of previous members of Fury of the Headteachers and one from Youth Movie Soundtrack Strategies' earliest incarnation, these four cadaverous romantics are channelling the spirits of Pixies, mclusky and ATD-I into what their formaldehyde-addled brains think resembles pop. They've played some gigs with some bands (including Blood Red Shoes, Japandroids, Titus Andronicus, Dum Dum Girls and The Twilight Sad), and have just recorded a load of music with knob twiddler du jour James Kenosha. Plans for the future include playing more gigs with more bands, generally staying alive and continuing the glorious quest for tinnitus. It's bassy, it's ferocious, it tries to be poetic: LaDB are attempting to light one last candle of sarcasm to celebrate the virtues of iniquity before sinking back into the slough of despond they call home (Sheffield).
