I am Jared Kevin Eckert,
I was born in Texas and have lived here for a majority of my life. I am one member from a family of 11. Most of me and my families beliefs stem from a childhood intertwined very close to religion. When I think of a place in my life that could be said as a defining moment of who I am, I am often perplexed due to my somewhat of a wild life full of odd situations, exotic lifestyles, and a personal dilemna wanting to understand every perspective of happenings in my life. A constant struggle at times has my life been, as well. After I finally settled down in my life, finding a constant, I've begun to pursue my passion... music.
Music has always been with me, it is who I am. Music is the one thing that expresses, in the most unique way, my soul. When I create my tracks, I connect to something deeper within myself and the world around me. Sound is so beautiful. My deepest passion in the creation of my music is to create something different everytime I compose my songs. For me, I find ways to immerse myself in any genre of music. Through this I find new ways to reflect my mind, heart, body, and soul through this experimentation. I can hear and feel song like a living pulse in every part of my being. It is YOU! My followers, listeners, favoriters, who give me great drive and inspiration which I use as fuel to create and give more. Thank you :)

I've noticed recently that my soundcloud is starting to get more active and exciting. I'm not the most outgoing guy, but i'm working on being better socially. I will listen to everyones songs and leave as many comments before I get overwhelmed :P. Though my inspiration has had a dry run lately, I'm still working on a few songs on the backburner. Hope to have something new soon! thank you once again for listening to my music.

As of late, I have been recieving inspiration which has given me a great desire to teach people how to use the program for which I use to make my music. But even moreso, I've been wanting to teach anyone who has a desire to learn music. I have been trying something new, which is posting my computers desktop onto a live feed on websites or on messenger and letting friends, or strangers (when i'm on a live camming site), watch me as I use Reason 5 to create my music compositions or while i'm playing the piano. The common element amongst the feedback from viewers has had a common element, that I have a great aptitude for harmonics. The esteem I was given by such feedback also added to this desire i've mentioned to share how i've progressed in my musical understanding, most if not all of that knowledge having been self-taught. The joy I felt in discovering new types of harmony is something I hope others can experience as well. To teach others how to understand harmonics, and experiment with sound, is the last part of my desire to share what I know in them. If you think that you would like to learn more about music, and gain my aspect on it, message me and let me know. :)

I am not sure how to state what I am about to say without it sounding like i'm boasting about my talents.
So I will share the story of how music came into my life, and how it grew thereafter.
Reflecting on that day, it seems like such a simple moment to me now. Living with a family of 11 including myself,
home could get quite crowded with us all in the same room. Luckily for us we lived in the country, so not including meals or family gatherings,
us kids had 5 acres of lawn and the surrounding endlessness of Texas forest that we could play games in and explore.
I was maybe 7 or 8 on this special day in my heart. My oldest sister, who was 20 or so then, had started dating
a fellow who was a member of our church. Though I cannot remember much else of my adventures, I will always remember
this one occasion that day, that I heard an instrument of any kind played live in front of me. My soon to be brother-in-law came from
a family of esteemed musicians, so much so that it seemed you wouldn't find a Shirley, which was his families last name, who could
claim themselves musically inept. As for this story, the sound I would hear that day would come from our family piano, a somewhat sad
and neglected thing that might never have had a tuning re-done. Not to mention it had survived through a house fire.
Heart and soul, as simple as it was, would capture my mind as I walked up behind my brother in law who was playing it for my younger sibling
at the time. Once he showed me which keys to press, for months after that moment I would find myself on the piano repeating that same pattern for myself.
The lack formal training in pianist finger placement and proper stance, I would adapt to its awkwardness after years of playing, eventually having my own un-orthodox hand and finger placement in playing. There were times when I would try and take a lesson from different piano teachers, but the monatony and un-yielding guidelines as well as having to re-adjust what my mind had trained my hands to do when striking keys would frustrate me to the point where I would stop the lessons and fall back into my own routines and habbits. Where I would find myself more intrigued, however, would be in musical theories taken in high school and college, as well as immersing myself in musical culture whereas most of my life I had little or none to claim a preference or relation to.
There is alot in this story that I could probably expand upon and explain in detail, but for now I only mean to get this rough draft and condensed version of my past in music. As for the songs you hear on my profile, all of them have been made with Reason(TM) Software. I AM self taught in Reason as well, but that can be a story for the next post. Enjoy my songs, and hopefully this helps you relate the songs to who I am and the things I learn or discover when putting myself into them.
For the last year or so, I've grown quite comfortable with my ability to compose music using Reason for the computer. I was introduced to the program, Reason, when going to a school in Eagle Rock, Colorado. However, this first glance I would get while watching a fellow student compose would be without instruction. Which would cover the most important functions of the program and learning how to write notes. I never completed that schools program as well, having just turned 18, and Reason disappeared from my life for a few years amidst more troublesome worries I had to work through during those years that followed.
Around the age of 20 was when I found a bit of time for leisure, and finally having obtained a computer, I remembered the brief moments when I tinkered with Reason. I then decided to install a copy of my own onto my computer, and began learning the program on my own.
Anyways, to cut this story short, the comfort I now have in using Reason coupled with a vast improvement in playing the piano (also self taught), a great desire has settled in my heart and mind which has been compelling me to complete the presentation of my music, lyrics. I wish to improv a story which I would sing while improv-ing a song I would play at the same time on the piano. And secondly, to write lyrics to songs i've composed with Reason.
The final bar that i've set for myself is to teach others how to use Reason and give them a life long unique ability they would cherish as well as finding a way to teach what is called 'the ear' for music. These are the things I wished to share with you guys, to give everyone an idea of the direction, musically, in which I am trying to pursue.
Thank you for reading these thoughts I relate :).

Awsome feedback guys, ty very much for the compliments. Let me know if you guys have any critiques in mind for my music too :D. Most of my songs I've posted on soundcloud were expiremental compositions individually purposed as my interpretation of different genres of music.
Its not often that I am able to fully connect to the instrumental section in most songs. Uniqueness in the direction of chord progression is a desire of mine when I compose a song, and I feel that same desire realized in your music.
This comment is going to be my most honest I will have yet made. I will write the rest of it in another comment at the songs end.
The switch up! When composing music, I find the greatest excitement in the wonderment of where the song may go next.
When a song gives me an immidiate desire to work on my music, its good by me :).
Woah! Come out w/ guns blazing!
Very unique! I have never heard a genre of song like this.
@thecapistranobirds: omg! ty so much for the awsome comments! :D
@thecapistranobirds: np man, for awhile I was experimenting with different genres too, to find a flavor I may like. I agree its a lot more fun!
I really enjoy the fact that you branch out beyond one genre of music.
