LottaNotta Laura Nordman-Sabia San Francisco Laura Nordman-Sabia aka LottaNotta, is a San Francisco based artist/musician who composes and producing electronic and shoegaze music. Growing up on Long Island, New York, she was exposed to early electronic music by her audiophile father, including Kraftwerk, Walter Carlos, Tangerine Dream and Jean-Michel Jarré. In college, where she studied photography at RISD, she played bass in punk and indie bands. Then moving to NYC, her bands were more influenced by shoegaze and space rock. Laura’s deep interest in collecting vinyl has prompted her to transport her collection after a stint in Germany, to San Francisco. With a vast collection of record albums, these musical influences can be heard in her songs. Her interest and introduction to computer based music and music producing software has prompted her to forge her way into the digital recording realm.
