About Peter:
PETER KIRN is an electronic musician, visualist, and journalist. His work blends a career as an artist with one sharing knowledge and creating platforms for building and using creative technologies. A classically-trained composer and pianist, his music now covers ambient/post-Classical and experimental techno domains. This includes collaborations with Robert Lippok (raster noton), Lower Order Ethics (as Alchemic Harm), and the techno duo Nerk/Kirn (Snork Enterprises), as well as solo projects as a musician and visual artist. That has included recent at Berlin Atonal Festival, Contort, ADE (on 4DSOUND), and The Rest is Noise (presented by GONZO Circus). He will play NODE Festival in Frankfurt next.

As a creative technologist, he is known as the writer behind the widely-read site CDM (createdigitalmusic.com), and co-creator of the MeeBlip synthesizer (meeblip.com). He also teaches creative development with open source tools and co-coordinates the MusicMakers hacklab and unrender visual events.

Born in Kentucky, he worked in New York City (frequently collaborating with modern dance) before making the move to Berlin.
