BIO:
NWRMNTC is the solo project of musician and sound designer Ana Quiroga.
NWRMNTC (pronounced as /new romantic/) explores new ways of music storytelling and multimedia practices through mystic and experimental cinematic soundscapes which navigate between dark techno and ambient sounds.
Presented at Somerset House Studios, she has also performed at Corsica Studios, NTS Radio, Art Night London and KAOS among others. Recently, NWRMNTC has released music on Arboretum and QTZLCTL.
Ana is currently working on new releases and also collaborating with new media art project CLON in audiovisual and VR projects. Following a residency in Iceland at Heima Art Residency, they are bringing together a new immersive live AV game simulation: META.
META is an immersive audio-visual journey into future and unknown worlds, performed live as a game simulation with a live soundtrack.
Inspired by sci-fi narratives and cyberpunk aesthetics, the show invites the audience to explore fictional scenarios depicting interconnected utopian and dystopian worlds.
Over the last 9 years, Ana has produced electronic music and designed sound for film, audiovisual performances and multimedia projects. She was also the former half of the duo LCC who released two albums on Editions Mego and performed at renowned events including Sonar, Berlin Atonal, Barbican, LEV, Norberg and Mutek Mexico.
