lorenzopone Lorenzo Pone London Lorenzo Pone (Naples, 1991): pianist and composer. Actually student at Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg and at Royal College of Music in London, he formerly studied Piano with Francesco Mariani and Composition with Giancarlo Turaccio and Patrizio Marrone, graduating with the best evaluation Conservatory San Pietro a Majella in Naples. In 2011 he has been selected for Paul Badura-Skoda's piano courses in Vienna and received in this a special mention from the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst of Vienna, becoming Badura-Skoda's regular private student. In October 2011 he won the Rome International Piano Competition and he received a special mention for his Bach's, Mozart's and Liszt's interpretations and a scholarship for Toronto School of Music, Canada. In October 2012 he made a recording for the french TV channel "Arté", releasing an interview about Maurice Emmanuel's chamber music, within a documentary signed by Anne Bramard-Blagny. In August 2013 he won the international piano competition during the XVIII edition of Semana Internaçional de Piano de Obidos (Portugal). Actually he's student at Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg and at Royal College of Music in London, within a Master's Degree in Historical Piano under the guide of Wolfgang Brunner and Geoffrey Govier. He gave recitals as a soloist in Schloss Laudon Konzertsaal - Vienna, Associazione Alessandro Scarlatti - Naples, Scone Palace Concert Hall - Scotland, San Carlo Theater - Naples, UFMG Belo Horizonte - Brazil, Sao Joao del Rei - Brazil, Gesellschaft für Musiktheater - Vienna, Cushing Academy - Boston, Mozarteum - Salzburg, P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory - Moscow. Some of his chamber music works ( "Four Japanese Songs op. 4" and "Kharman op. 5", "Vox Arborea op. 7 n. 2", "Two Studies on the Resonance op. 8) have been premiered for the historical Association Alessandro Scarlatti of Naples and ACIMC in Paris and have been published within the collection "puntoOrg" (Editoriale Scientifica - Naples, Italy). Some of his essays have been published by University Bocconi's official international press (Milan - Italy).
