She previously served as Somaliland's Minister of Family Welfare and Social Development. She is said to be "the first Somali girl" to study in Britain, Somaliland's first qualified nurse-midwife and the first Somali woman to drive. NASRA DAHIR MOHAMMED is currently doing a Master of Public Policy from Riphah International University, Pakistan. She also has two bachelor’s degrees: Political Science and International Relations from the Civil Service Institute in Hargeisa Somaliland, and Medical Laboratory from Edna Adan University. For the past ten years, she has been working with international researchers, civil society organizations, and government organizations.
