Juliet by Listen Loud - Demos

Juliet was written by Joel (Melody and Lyrics) and Hector (Chord Progression) in 2012 and produced in May of 2013 at Listen Loud Studios.

The song is in 4/4 time, with an upbeat tempo of 130 bpm, in the key of B flat major (g minor), with a modulation to C major (a minor) after the bridge. It has a pop rock feel with acoustic and electric guitars, hand claps, and other organic elements. The chorus is simple and catchy. The bridge is playful with its repeated falsetto melody.

Songwriter's notes: "Hector had an early demo of the music he shared with me and I loved the retro feel of it, which gave rise to the 'record store line'. I tried numerous different lyrics for this track but the original scratch lyric "I'm in love with Juliet" made it to the final version. The bridge is a bit over the top, which is exactly how I like it. Production-wise, we tried to keep things organic, with a nice blend of piano and guitar on the verses. --Joel"
