Lily Brooke Lily Brooke Newcastle Lily Brooke is a 21 year old Singer/Songwriter/Pianist from the North East of England. Lily Brooke has proven to be a remarkable pianist and prolific writer, marking over a 40 song repertoire in her career so far. She has been described as an ‘internet singing sensation’ by The Gazette with a ‘mature, soulful sound’ from a live festival review. From a young age, Lily has composed, performed live and won competitions in many establishments across the UK. Her first song – ‘Eclipse’ - alone has won her a string of radio interviews. This opportunity to promote new work resulted in gaining a large fan base physically as well as online. PAST Over her years, Lily Brooke has been heavily featured and interviewed by the local media including music magazines (The Crack), newspapers (The Gazette and Chronicle), and radios (Spark FM, Sun FM and BBC Newcastle). Her quick success online sparked off her career. The release of her first 5 songs acting as an online EP had her receiving feedback from all across the world with the anticipation of more material. Other examples of media coverage include articles in the Gold Dust magazine based in London and even interviews with Radio Meltdown based Worldwide. Moreover, she has had the opportunity to perform live at many prestigious venues including The London Theatre and The Tyne Theatre. Lily has performed at many established festivals and events such as The Fringe Festival and The Evolution Festival alongside recognized such artists as Rizzle Kicks, Dead Mau5, Dizzee Rascal and Noah and the Whale to a vast audience of 28,000 per day. PRESENT This year the solo artist has had the privilege to perform at the Bents Park Summer Festival supporting Shayne Ward and B*Witched. Other festivals from the summer are Corbridge Festival headlined by Big Country and also the Stockton Weekender where she performed amongst Public Enemy and Happy Mondays. Also earlier this year she has been awarded Young Performer of the Year as part of the South Tyneside Awards 2014. Previous winners include renowned artists Joe McElderry and Jade Thirlwall from popular pop band Little Mix. More recently, Lily Brooke has been interviewed and performed as part of BBC introducing in Durham and was invited onto the BBC Tees live broadcast.
