Days Of Future Past by Leon Clowes published on 2020-09-22T08:46:06Z 'Days of Future Past' was part of Queer Art Projects' #WIP work-in-progress working progress online exhibition 15.11.2020-15.01.2021 and was also included in CCA Gallery's Radiophrenia Festival 2020. This radio piece consists of some of the music I made in my teenage bedroom alongside sound-effected affected performances I’ve made of my recent writings made in my late-middle age flat over the last couple of weeks during lockdown. This is montaged with grainy bootleg and recordings off of the telly and radio by some of the musicians and artists who have made me think in a fundamentally different way to before I’d experienced their work. These include Derek Jarman, Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, Matt Johnson, Marc Almond, Prince, Agnes Bernelle, Billy Mackenzie and The Divine David. TWO DISCLAIMERS: The sound quality is often very lo-fi (much of the material is from cassette tape recordings from the 80s) and it can be a bit sweary/adult-themed. I dedicate this radio piece to Lyn Levett who lost her life to COVID-19 last week. She was a musician, pioneer and friend that I much admired.
