I think you really should (if you haven't already) take another crack at recording a "final" version. I think particularly in the final "verse" - the part that starts with "Time passes so quickly," you really nail the sparse melody that runs through the piece. I think it sounds tentative in the earlier verses (sections, maybe, is a better word?), but I also like the idea of each section having its own melody. I think ultimately the suggestion is that however you choose to approach it, nail down the vocal melody before committing it to a recording, whether you're doing it as several distinct melodies or one melody that repeats in each section.
