Lee Lucas - Isolation (Featuring Vlad Josephson On Bass Guitar) by Lee >>> Lucas published on 2012/11/12 09:24:58 +0000 Isolation is another track from the concept album project In Search Of The Lost Souls. For over a year now it has been sitting in my DAW with no written lyrics for it, and it had the tile of The Last Song On The Souls Album to which at that time I intended it to be at that time. Since writing the lyrics it now as a title and will not be the last track on the album at all, but will be much further along the story line than what track 3 Garden Of Souls is. I sent this demo of the track sometime back now to Vlad with my original words I just mumbled from the top of my head on it, and asked him if he could play his bass around it. The main reason was to get me back into working on the album again having left it alone for over a year. Another reason was because I felt the song had no place for guitar and would project better with a dominate bass guitar in it instead. I have heard many of Vlad's fine songs on his cloud and his contributions to many collabs and I knew he had the right qualities in his bass playing to do the job I wanted here. The guy is a solid bass player and one hell of a fine musician I admire and respect highly on the cloud. As a Bass player Vlad very much as a vision which only a bass guitarist could give to this song, it's this unique quality I was looking for and not just a guitarist playing bass who may think he's doing a good job, but does not have the same feel or vision of a real bass player would have on that score. Vlad is very dedicated to his instrument, and I have to say he has done a purely fantastic job on this song for me. His bass speaks highly in this song, and plays a very important role. Thank you very much for bringing this song to life Vlad my good friend. You can check more of Vlad's fine music on his great cloud here: http://soundcloud.com/vladaroo Isolation (Words & Music By L. C. Lucas) Lee Lucas - Vocals - Piano - Keyboards - Drum Programming. Vlad Josephson - One hell of a damn fine Bass guitar. The lyrics are as follows: I've seen millions of people everywhere, in both worlds that I've been through. The waifs and strays that have enforced their way around my home, have blocked the light from shining through. There are many times where I've felt all alone, through these times I'm going through. All the thoughts buried deep within' my mind, are all but memories of you. I've been reaching out now here for some time, to find a way of breaking through. To get back those taken from my own blood line, is all I have to do. This barricade can't last forever, between both worlds that I've been through. And in this time of isolation here, the light still shines on through. There's a place that I've seen here before, it as a dark and solemn view. Yet the light just seems to shine for evermore, images of both of you. There's a place where I've been I used to call home, it was shiny filled and new. Where the people expressed the way they feel, exchanging their own points of view. Please find time to leave comments which are always very well appreciated, and many thanks for listening.
