The 3rd track from the album project In Search of The Lost Souls, a story concept album that I put to one side for a year and have recently decided to get back in to. Most of the material for this album was done a year ago but still needs a lot of work done to it, so much that it will most likely take me another year to complete, as most is very much just the basic bare bones, and I have been spending time writing lyrics for it based around a story I wrote over a year ago now.
Garden of Souls is the first of the many vocal tracks that briefly tells the fictional story I wrote about the Fisher family consisting of husband and wife Michael and Margaret, and their 5 year old daughter Jemima, who have recently moved home and now reside in an house next door to an empty one.
The house has been empty for many years and the lost souls of the dead have inhabited the place. Upon moving into their new home, Jemima notices a gap in the fence to the garden next door, and decides to take her plastic tea set with her to play in the garden. She is taken off into another realm by the lost souls, and her mother goes looking for her. and also gets whipped off into another realm by the blighters :) Her Husband Michael observes just what has happened from his bedroom window, and decides to set out to get back his family.
Most of this track as been lying in my DAW very much with most of its work done to it for a year now, I knew it needed a few more touches to it. The one important ingredient it needed was a woman's voice to play the part of Margaret shouting out after her daughter Jemima had gone missing. I asked Jaime a good few weeks back now to say a couple of words for me, and she done a great job of it, and I felt it was a very major part in projecting what I am trying to put across here regarding the story line, even if it was such a small part for her to play. Thanks very much Jaime for doing such a great job of it.

The lyrics are as follows:
She was playing in the garden, she was barely five years old,
when suddenly out of nowhere, the wind began to blow.
The plastic tea set began to rise, cups suspended by daisy chains,
and as she tried to grab a spoon. the table flew away.
Her mother started calling, shouting out her name,
but little Jemima was nowhere to be seen, her mother's tears cried in vein.
She looked around the garden, amongst all the shrubs and weeds,
and then she saw the plastic cups, and then she felt the wind.
This garden now lies deep in state, it was built on sacred ground,
its claimed the souls of many a more, only adding to its toll.
The wind will never go away, and forever she will blow,
when you enter the garden, the garden made of souls.
Please find time to leave comments, which are always very well appreciated. Many thanks for listening.
