Leandro Mendes was born and raised in Maua/Sao Paulo, the industrial city of State. Since the beginning, they had good evidence that would make a good connoisseur of music and subsequently lead to the dancefloor by Brazil to total frenzy with his good musical repertoire. The earliest notions of what being a DJ came in childhood, where the festivities of her uncle ran the family classic 3x1, mixing MPB, Bossa Nova, Samba & Tropicalia from many artists, which has a rich material and becomes a source of inspiration. In 1993, he met the flash house and other projects that have already started to show him a new path within the music, he spent nights on end with the radio on beside his bed. Began attending the Sunday parties at Cokeluxe, legendary club with the best dance music of the region, admiring the work of DJ Banana, because it always brought all the brand new tunes of the season. In 1997, through his neighbor and close friend, knew the drum'n'bass, a new genre of electronic music that really was the key point to dedicate a new style, different, with many blends and with a great potential in the country, where its pioneers were nothing more, nothing less than DJ’s Marky/Andy. Started visiting record stores in Sao Paulo downtown, and make friends with people who thought like him, even if attending the festivities were taking place thousands of miles away from his residence. Artists such as Roni Size, Ed Rush & Optical, Andy C, Zinc, and others were decisive for his good knowledge of music, that was a golden season on the scene, with releases of many classics that still make people's heads on the slopes until today. It was then that his friend, DJ Roy, taught him the first steps in the art of mixing, persistent and a perfectionist, does not admit mistakes. By this time frequented temple of electronic music in SP, Overnigth club, where he felt at home for good music and news ever heard one of their icons in the national Drum’n Bass scene, DJ Andy. Driven by passion in electronic music and the style in which he believed, made his first attempts as a DJ at friend’s parties playing for fun, where he honed his technique has always been. In 2001 he was introduced to play in his first professional party, strike the project mix. His presentation was a success, with a repertoire going from liquid to Jump-Up satisfying everyone in the track and attracting interest from other promoters. From this, the DJ scene has won state, where several friends helped and made room for their presentations. Leandro won space on the national scene, and in 2004 was invited to play in one of Drum'n Bass parties, the oldest in Brazil (Febre) at Rio de Janeiro. Then began a solid career and his hobby became profissional, where his name was mentioned in several capitals, and through contacts with professionals from other places. The DJ has performed in the cities like Brasilia (DF), Salvador (BA) and Rio de Janeiro (RJ). Each presentation taking his happyness, smiles and good humor is constantly invited to be part of many projects. Already shared the line-up with big names on the national scene, as Marnel, Andy, GBX, Vega, Calbuque, Marcelinho Dalua, 2FunkyZ, Patife, Luizinho LBF and Yanay. In 2008, the DJ launched his project, “finnest”, making room for new talent in the national Drum'n Bass and big names that always make this one of the most charming aspect of the moment. In 2009, Leandro decides to venture into the Soulful House, clean genre of house music and have always admired, flirting with a new type of mixing and presentation of repertoire. His favorite artist in this genre are: DJ Meme, Richard Earnshaw, Groove Junkies, Grant Nelson, Kenny Dope, Rachel Claudio, Marc Evans and much more.
