While growing up in a musical household with parents and siblings who are all musicians (her father is a classical guitar virtuoso who studied with Andres Segovia), Brooklyn based Linda Draper listened to everything from Bach to “Bop” from an early age, soon moving on to the church choir and then to writing her own songs on the guitar as a teenager.
In 2001 Draper recorded her debut LP “Ricochet” with producer/indie music icon Kramer (Low, Ween, Galaxie 500, Urge Overkill, Lou Reed). Their partnership continued with her next three LP’s: 2002’s “Snow White Trash Girl,” 2003’s “Patchwork,” and her debut LP with Planting Seeds Records’ “One Two Three Four”. In 2007 she co-produced her next LP “Keepsake” with Major Matt (Olive juice music). In 2009, Draper returned with her 6th LP (also released by Planting Seeds Records), called “Bridge and Tunnel”, produced by Brad Albetta (Martha Wainwright, Teddy Thompson).
Linda Draper’s 7th album, “Edgewise”, which was produced by fellow singer-songwriter Matt Keating, was self-released in 2013. this album also featured her first limited edition vinyl release to date, on Planting Seeds Records. “Edgewise” garnered praise from both music critics and fans alike. the first single, “Hollow” was featured on the Starbucks in-store music playlist.
