He started playing his groovy eclectic sound back in 2010 and has gradually been making underground waves ever since. He is a manic enthusiast and compulsive hoarder of anything oldskool and obscure: from deep Chicago and Detroit tracks, and wonky Acid and Rave bangers, to pure gems from the heyday of Disco and New-Wave. Only music with a heartbeat and plenty of rough edges stands a chance of passing by in his full-power sets. ✰Bio✰ Born and raised in a suburb - a so-called ''Vinex-wijk'' - in the Amsterdam metropolitan area, he, as a young boy, sincerely enjoyed listening to his father playing the piano. This would eventually spark his true love for rhythm and melody, something he simply cannot do without today. After moving (back) to Amsterdam, he soon discovered its very vibrant underground music scene. Instantly liking everything about - the tangible energy in its grimy warehouses and sweaty basements especially. This ultimately made him decide to start deejaying himself. And in case you were wondering... His alias comes from ''Mata Hari'': an historical and notorious Dutch femme fatale from the turn of the twentieth century. As a matter of fact, Natte Haarie happens to be a distant relative - she was the aunt of my father's grandmother - of the real deal, something he only just found out recently!
