Lahib Alekozei Lahib Alekozei Berlin Lahib – artist info Lahib’s love of music was instilled at an early age. He grew up listening to jazz. This influence is clearly audible in both his sets and productions. His deep sound – always featuring surprising jazzy elements and a tendency towards trippy melodies - is rooted somewhere between Tech- and micro-house. Lahib acquired a feel for the audience – essential for any Artist - during his 2003–2005 residency at Monkey’s Island (Düsseldorf, Germany) where he played long sets. It was at Monkey’s Island that he was discovered by the booking agent of Düsseldorf’s legendary Harpune Club who offered him the chance to prove his worth in front of a demanding audience, as warm-up. Lahib’s performance that night secured him his most important residency at the time. In the following years he has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the genre and also did numerous guest performances at various clubs in Germany, England and Switzerland. Since 2011, Lahib has been working on his own productions. He starts with his first two releases on "Somero 2011" Cécille Records. Now based in Berlin he is diving deep into the beautifully world of modular synthesis and work on new music.
