Moving Chairs [disquiet0315] by La Cosa Preziosa published on 2018-01-12T17:50:41Z disquiet0315 -- I liked the idea of posting something unfinished that "leaves room for something else" and that has potential for collaboration. I know the instructions suggested instrumentation, but I thought it might be interesting/fun to go the musique concrète route and see if anybody might be interested in joining in. Inspired by the photo, I recorded the sound of chair legs gently swaying on a parquet floor. I then looped a section in Ableton Live, and worked on creating a progressive effect that would fade into noise and grain and give an abstract sense of time, or of the object getting older and consumed. It can be considered a rhythmic track (in a very loose, soft way), so looking forward to hearing what it will be matched and layered with.
