Tidal Discovery Artist, Rapper and Entrepreneur, Warren “LACK OF FLAWS” Griffin, Jr is no stranger to hard work. His dedication and perfectionist nature was nurtured in an environment where friends and foes alike fell victim to violence, drug abuse and incarceration daily. Channeling these life lessons and stories into songs that would eventually become his musical introduction to the world, Gemini: B-Side in 2015.
LACK OF FLAWS would work on his debut opus while living in Los Angeles for a number of years, Atlanta, New York and Detroit. While based in LA, Griffin would lend his creative talents to Atlantic Records, Warner Music Group, EMI and Capitol Records providing A&R and Creative Direction for select projects. During this time, LACK OF FLAWS released promotional singles, “That’s What I’m Talkin Bout” (2014), “Right Now” (2012), which peaked at 87 on the urban charts, “Return of the B-Boy” (2010), was released via an exclusive partnership with Amazon to commemorate the 15 year anniversary of “Ready to Die” by The Notorious BIG.
The Roxy, The Mall of America and The Shelter are just some of the legendary venues LACK OF FLAWS has performed at. LACK OF FLAWS has also represented and/or partnered with brands like: Undefeated (lifestyle), Microsoft, Qure Water, TYP Collection (lifestyle + art), Red Bull, HipHopDX, Mr. Alan’s (lifestyle) among others.
In early 2015, LACK OF FLAWS co-founded a new music company named The Code based in his hometown of Detroit. LACK OF FLAWS has hinted at new music being in the works and recently released a new single entitled, “Shot Clock”, an anthem spirited with sports references and parallels. The new project is expected to be much more collaborative and include several guest appearances.
