La Jovenc has composed original scores for classic silent movies (“Nosferatu” by F.W.Murnau-1998, “Lulu, die buchse der `Pandora” by G.W.Pabst-2005, “The Wind” by V.Sjostrom-2018) and soundtracks for the television and the film industry (RAI, Sky, etc.).
For instance, his music is performed in the many films (“Otto or Up with dead people”, “LA Zombie” “Diablo”, “Obscenity” and “Offing Jack”) by cult director Bruce LaBruce, in soundtracks together with such musicians as Cocorosie and Antony and the Johnsons.
He has created compositions for exhibitions in museums and art galleries (Il Cubo gallery-Milan 2003, L’Archivolto gallery-Milan 2004, International Museum of Ceramic-Faenza 2002, CACT –Switzerland 2009, ISEA2014 –Dubai etc), short films, theatre and dance companies .
He has been invited by CACT (Centro Arte Contemporanea del Ticino) in Swizerland in 2009 to create the performance “Pneuma” with dancer Sara Nesti and artist PierGiorgio DePinto. In the same year he also had an exhibition at CACT on his video works.
His music is the soundtrack of the documentary “Polvere” on artists Bertozzi & Casoni, and for them he has created the music for the exhibition “Come, dove e quando” in Palazzo Te, in Mantova, 2014.
In 2015 his exhibition “Visible music for unherad visions” at Pomo Da Damo Gallery, Imola, was curated by critic Luca Beatrice.
In 2017 he create the music for the exhibition “Enjoy” at Chiostro del Bramante in Roma, curated by italian critic Danilo Eccher.
In the same year, for the festival Sagra Malatestiana in Rimini he has performed “Momus”, with the italian philosopher Massimo Cacciari, directed bt G.Tondini.
Massimo Cacciari based his “momus” on the novel by Leon Battista Alberti.
Still in 2017 director Bruce LaBruce has made a videoclip for a track by Giovanni Dal Monte (La Jovenc): “Heaven’s grace”.
He has played at the IxMae Festival in San Francisco, Arspolis in Switzerland, Angelica in Bologna and Storung Festival in Barcelona, together with artists like Murcof, Scanner, Kangding Ray etc.
Barry Adamson, who together with Angelo Badalamenti has composed many soundtracks for David Lynch’s films, has defined his music "superb" and John Zorn, the musician-producer has written he really appreciates La Jovenc's music. Nicolette, Massive Attack’s singer, recorded 5 tracks with La Jovenc.
In 2006 he was prized with PAI (Italian Avant-garde Award) at the MEI (Meeting of Indipendent Labels), and in 2007 he won Live!iXem (Italian Experimental Electronic Music-Palermo) in 2007.
