In this heartbreaking pop ballad I convey the desperation experienced in a sudden and unexpected breakup. Based on actual events and long conversations with the victim of such an event, this has been one of the most demanding creative processes I have been part of. Hopefully the melody, the harmonic structure and the vocal performance supports the clear message of the lyric - being left is a complete drag.
