Music is life. Undisputed . . . as any good “DJ” mix tells a story, . . . such is Kimberly St. John’s story does more than just impress the EDM world with her DJ sets, she herself represents versatility albeit with West Coast-style; from sexy chill out lounge style to Los Angeles and San Diego's deepest undergrounds with edge, class, style, flare, and above all - never succumbing to compromises . . .
First and foremost a musician (acoustic guitar player), Kimberly views music as an art form, but more so one life’s greatest necessities for survival. Perhaps this perspective has paved the path one step at a time for Kimberly’s life to be surrounded by music. . . formerly an Artist & Reprertoire (A&R) for Offworld Music in Los Angeles, Kimberly hosted a TV show called GROOVETV interviewing a handful of musicians and DJs including big guns like: Perry Ferrell, The Crystal Method, BT, Deep Dish, Donald Glaude, Carl Cox, Colette, and many more.
Now as one of So. Cal’s most burgeoning, diverse female DJ’s, Kimberly can found playing her brand of house, deep house and tech house in clubs every weekend, and her love of what she does is obvious. Kimberly’s DJ sets often are comprised of
interlacing new tracks with respects to the old school underground legends such as Carl Cox, Deepdish, Green Velvet,
Danny Tanaglia, and Crystal Method.
Being a DJ is great benefit to one like Kimberly with a fervent, devoted passion towards playing versatile EDM sounds . . . her live sets are a direct reflection of the vibe of the moment – each one is unique, spontaneous, free styled to the mood of the crowd.
Since the start of 2012, Kimberly has landed three residencies in So Cal including Searsucker, Flavor, and Candelas.
Additionally she has decided to take her career to the next level by creating her own productions. More on that in the
future . . .
