Ralph Heidel // Homo Ludens - Sweet Dark Moves by Kryptox published on 2018-10-11T10:06:23Z Ralph Heidel is a young German composer, pianist and saxophonist. Part of the new generation of musician combining chambermusic with Electronica and atmospheric jazz. The 25 year old Berlin based talent mixes string based Neo Classic, melancholic jazz and chill out Electronica on the highest level. He is the next wave of young musicians coming after Nils Frahm and Olafur Arnalds. His music fits perfect between artists like Jon Hopkins, Rival Consoles, Johann Johannson and Olafur Arnalds. Heidel studied at Germany best university for classical music: The Munich Musikhochschule and besides being an amazing composer he also does impressive live performances with his 8 person ensemble. Heidel will release his second single "Sweet Dark Moves" in Febuary and his debut album for string quartet and Jazz ensemble in April via the new Berlin label Kryptox. The label is a new sublabel of Germany’s Gomma records ("Germany’s most interesting record label makers" as PITCHFORK once described them). Kryptox is dedicated to new forms of chambermusic, neo jazz and Electronica from Germany. Since 2019 K7! Records is the official partner of Kryptox music and will help develop the artists and label identity.
