Soundcheck recording. 22nd October, 2011, Polish White Eagle Club, O'Connor, ACT. Konrad Lenz - vocals Mikelangelo - guitar Fiete Geier - lead guitar Pete Olson - drums Peetie Wheetstraw wrote this back in the 1930s. It is one of the more violent songs I've heard but it also has a great sense of humour. Are the lyrics referring to what the guy is going to do or is he just wishing that he could do it and imagining himself in a movie? Anyway, Peetie Wheatstraw, with his Devil's son-in-law, High Sherrif from Hell persona, his laconic piano style and his poker faced delivery of songs, was great and should get more recognition. Peetie wrote this song as a straight blues. In rehearsal Mikelangelo accidently played it in a minor key and we kept it that way. Genre Blues
